We Aren't Everywhere, It Just Seemed Like It Today

We Aren't Everywhere, It Just Seemed Like It Today

Revenue recognition is on the tip of everyone’s tongue these days, some more than most.

Take today, for instance.

PwC held its annual Revenue Recognition Bootcamp today in Santa Clara and Leeyo Software was once again in attendance as an invited sponsor. The one-day event offered a comprehensive program of revenue recognition expertise and insights with the effective date of ASC 606 quickly approaching.

We were pleased to see – and have the opportunity to chat socially with – representatives from many existing RevPro customers including Autodesk, Salesforce.com, Electronic Arts, Aerohive Networks, Equinix, Gigamon, Polycom, Fortinet, Harmonic, NetApp and more.

A number of challenging areas were given the benefit of a deep dive for the audience of CFOs, finance directors, controllers, revenue recognition directors and sales teams for a variety of corporations, all with the same complicated adoption before them. Those topics included contract modifications, standalone selling price, contract costs and transition best practices.

The brutal reality was also raised of many companies behind in adoption efforts with difficult decisions to make to meet timelines. As you might imagine, Leeyo is a firm believer in the value of revenue automation, at this significant accounting guidelines-infused crossroads we all find ourselves in now more than ever.

Meanwhile, up in the truly great Northwest, we made the latest stop in our continuing series of Revenue Recognition Roundtables with valued partner, RGP in Portland, Ore.

The well-attended, half-day program, featuring Amanda G. Carrillo, Leeyo’s Pre-Sales Accounting Manager, featured helpful tips and best practices from the global consultancy on how to transition from an accounting assessment to design and implementation of this new standard, and how our RevPro solution can fit a company’s growing list of needs.
