Zuora.org launches new grant cycle to help organizations adapt to changing COVID-19 needs

A year ago we launched Zuora.org with a vision to ensure the Subscription Economy benefits everyone. We promised to leverage everything we have to make the communities where we live and work stronger, so that every individual can thrive.

Now, more than ever, it’s time to reinforce our commitment and work even harder to support those in this time of extreme need. We’re proud to join the #GivingTuesdayNow movement and stand in unity to use the power of generosity to remain connected, inspire others to give, and continue to do what we can to help those most affected by COVID-19.

Over the past few months we’ve seen a groundswell of giving by ZEOs (our employees) around the world. They are showing up for their communities and giving back in ways that inspire us. From feeding and providing groceries to the elderly and out-of-work day workers in Chennai to virtually coaching and tutoring students transitioning to online and at-home learning in the Bay Area. We’re proud to support their efforts through ZEO driven grants and time off to volunteer.

The organizations that our ZEOs support now need to rapidly shift the way that they engage and serve their constituents. They need new funding sources that are flexible and unrestricted, so that they can pivot and shift to address the needs of their communities.

To help with this, we’ve launched our first Community Impact grant cycle. Zuora is granting $250,000 to organizations that are working tirelessly to make our communities stronger and more equitable – and to support those most affected by COVID-19.

Zuora will make strategic and unrestricted grants to nonprofits and social enterprises focused on creating more prosperous communities, including those that strengthen educational foundations, create innovative workforce development opportunities, and stimulate local economies.

Help us spread the word with the nonprofits you love and support – we welcome them to apply. We’ll accept applications through May 31, 2020 and will announce grant recipients this June.

We know that the subscription economy is resilient and will help pull us through this global economic crisis. But until we make it out on the other side, we’re extremely proud of the work our ZEOs are doing and will continue to support the organizations serving those most vulnerable during this uncertain time.
