Role

Zuora is looking for a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, to join our Billing Product QE team. The ideal candidate cares deeply about ensuring quality of mission critical and large scale SaaS in an agile environment. He or she should be obsessed with quality engineering, continuous quality and productivity improvement, experienced and highly committed to creating world class automation and tooling. Able to develop and drive a high-level test strategy for a system under test, taking a hands-on approach to implementing that strategy.. In this role you will be:

• Working with fields, product and engineering to understand product vision, requirements and business scenarios from customer view.
• Collaborating with engineering and QE leaders to ensuring testing process and best practices are applied at both development and QA phases, actively addressing issues that cause inefficiencies.
• Building world class test automation and tooling.
• Design and perform load testing, including performance, scalability and resilience test.

Who You Are

• A strong understanding of OO programming and concepts, preferably in Java.
• With extensive knowledge in coordinating technology and business E2E testing.
• Well understood load testing methodology, tools, metrics.
• Well understood engineering best practices.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environment.
• Excellent communication skills and work collaboratively across-functionally
• Fluent oral and written communication in English
• Self motivation is a plus.

Preferred Experience to Have

• Working experience on SaaS products, mission critical systems
• Working knowledge on cloud technologies
• Experienced in performance engineering
• Work with open-source tools on building testing and QE solutions.
