Zuora is searching for a global Sales Commissions Analyst to perform end-to-end sales commissions operations globally. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-motivated team player with a solid working knowledge of sales incentive compensation principles and related operational execution. This individual thrives on process improvement and enjoys working in a challenging, fast-paced environment. This role will be successful through strong communication, cross-functional partnership and proactive collaboration in order to support our continued growth and success. This role will be reporting to the Sr. Manager of Sales Commissions.

This role’s primary goal is to ensure that the sales team is paid accurately and on time.

The Sales Commission Analyst will work with Finance Business Partners, Sales Operations, and Human Resources to establish best practices, as well as drive on-going process refinement to improve the efficiency and accuracy of sales commissions calculations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Maintaining the core data requirements in calculating sales commissions (i.e., sales hierarchy, target incentive, quota, leveraging data from our HRIS system and Salesforce)
  • Calculation of all sales commission, spiffs and MBO bonuses on a monthly basis
  • Develop scalable business processes for key duties, including but not limited to: credit/commission validation, compensation plan document generation, payroll submission
  • Respond to queries from Sales and cross-functional partners regarding commission payout, sales performance, and commission plans
  • Assists in the administration of pay increase programs, reviewing changes in wages and salaries for conformance to policy. Ensures compliance with state, local and federal laws and regulations; company policies and procedures and advise management on needed actions
  • Reconcile the deferred commissions accounts monthly
  • Reconcile commission statements to payroll records and to deferred commission monthly
  • Route and archive all signed sales compensation plan documents for auditing purposes
  • Prepare monthly internal management reports on commissions
  • Implement effective controls and reporting to ensure the integrity of commissions calculations and payouts
  • Document commission process and manage internal controls in compliance with the Company’s Sarbane’s Oxley (SOX) initiative
  • Perform other special projects and analyses as directed by management

Experience/Skills Required:

  • 3+ years of work experience, preferably in Sales Compensation, or Operations
  • Bachelor’s in Business, Finance, Mathematics or other analytical discipline
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to self-starter and multi-task with limited supervision
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate within team and cross-functionally
  • Strong analytical, operational and problem solving skills

Desired Experience/Skills:

  • Knowledge of Xactly Incent and Analytics tools
  • Knowledge of Xactly eDocs module for compensation plan distribution
  • Salesforce, Google Docs/Sheets, and Workday experience a plus
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel
  • Have a strong understanding of sales incentive compensation fundamentals
